Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue (BBHR) relies on fosters, volunteers, and donors to keep our mission going. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and without your help, BBHR wouldn’t be able to rescue those in need.
Everyone involved has a role to play, from donors who provide the funds necessary to continue the mission, to transporters and other volunteers who help with the logistics, to fosters who provide temporary homes for rescued dogs, and finally to adopters who give these dogs permanent homes.
Without any of these crucial components, BBHR would not be able to operate. Donors, transporters, fosters, and adopters all work together to make it possible for BBHR to rescue more dogs and continue our important work.
Transports
We often need to transport dogs to and from animal shelters, veterinary offices, or foster homes. Please consider giving a couple of hours to help other volunteers in these transports.
Events
BBHR needs volunteers to represent us at events. Check out our Events Page for more information about upcoming events.
Foster Homes
We need more foster homes! Fostering is a rewarding and important way to help our hounds find their forever homes. If you would like to foster a hound in need, please visit our Foster Information page for more information and to apply.
