Healing hearts
one paw at a time…
Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue is based in Columbus, Ohio. We are a registered 501c3 shelter-free volunteer basset hound rescue group. Our mission is to help heal hearts one paw at a time.
December 14 from 1-4 pm at Tractor Supply Company (TSC) at 11309 Broad St SW, Pataskala, OH 43062.
Elvis is a 3-year-old, good-looking, long-legged beagle. Weighs 30 pounds, and stands 16 inches at the shoulder. After being in his foster home for nearly three years, this sweetheart continues to wait patiently for his fur-ever home!
Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue is an Ohio based 501(c)3 charity. Our main purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home our basset hounds into safe loving environments. Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue (BBHR) was formed out of the desire to help bassets that are homeless or abused, so that we can help heal hearts one paw at a time.
We specialize in finding permanent homes for basset hounds. We work to identify homeless, abandoned or mistreated bassets with the goal of finding them loving homes. We rely on a network of volunteers throughout Ohio and neighboring states that foster and transport animals in need. Our operating costs are funded by donations and fundraisers.
Since 2016, BBHR has cared for and found homes for over 227 basset hounds and basset mixes through 2023. We are now in our 8th year of rescue.
