Bucky

Hi! I’m Bucky – a 13-year-old gentleman with a heart full of love. Don’t let my age fool you – I’ve still got a spring in my step and plenty of affection left to give.

I’m currently living in my foster home with Brutus (my brother from another mother, whom I’ve known since my puppy days) and a foster cat sister. I’m good with just about anybody (adults, children, cats, and dogs), and I’m fully housebroken, too.

I’ve been through a bit of a health journey. I had a larger cancerous tumor on my back hip, but the awesome vet completely removed it surgically, and I came through like a real trooper. The vet said that IF the tumor grows back, it would stay localized. I also have a smaller tumor on my side, but it isn’t currently a concern. Through it all, I’ve kept my spirits high and haven’t let it slow me down!

My ideal home would include a fenced-in yard where I can do my business, sunbathe, and roll around in the grass. I do like short leash walks, and I absolutely love car rides (I might need a little boost getting into a car, though). I would also like my own dedicated space inside where I can sleep, be lazy, and well, be a Basset Hound.

I would love to find a forever home where Brutus, my buddy, and I can stay together. But if needed, I would try to be brave enough to try flying solo.

Oh – and one more thing: I recently had my teeth cleaned, so my breath is fresher than ever!
