Hi there, I’m Brutus! 🐾

I’m a young-at-heart 13-year-old this past April, who still thinks life is one big puppy adventure. I may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you – I’ve got plenty of pep in my step!

Right now, I’m living in my foster home with my best buddy Bucky (my brother from another mother, who I’ve known since my puppy days) and a foster cat sister. I get along great with just about everyone – kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. I’m also fully housebroken.

I do like to howl now and then, and my foster parents say that I’m sometimes their “resident rooster.” If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily follow you around, I’m your guy!

I would love to have a fenced-in yard where I can do my business, sunbathe, howl at the wind, and roll around in the grass. I like short leash walks, and I would also like a dedicated cozy spot inside where I can sleep, be lazy, and do classic Basset Hound things. Oh – and belly rubs? Absolutely my favorite!

I do get a little nervous in the car at first, and I might whine and howl a little bit, but I usually settle down after some time.

I would love to be kept with my buddy, Bucky. But if that’s not possible, I’m brave enough to go solo and bring my love to a new family.

P.S. I recently had my teeth cleaned, and I have minty fresh breath now. Well, sort of. 😊
