Meet Skeeter, an 8-year-old male basset hound overflowing with love and affection! This friendly neutered boy adores people of all ages, from kids to teens to adults. Skeeter’s zest for life shines brightest when he’s zooming around with his foster siblings or engaged in a playful romp with his favorite toys. While he’s not much of a barker, Skeeter does need to relieve himself frequently although he is housebroken. To manage this, he wears a belly band, and his attentive foster family keeps a close eye out for any signs that he needs a potty break.

Recently diagnosed with a heart murmur and a slightly enlarged heart, Skeeter is on medication to keep his condition in check. Any prospective adopter should be prepared for the responsibility of continuing his medication regimen and ensuring he receives regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his health.

Although a fenced yard would be ideal for Skeeter to explore safely, it’s not a strict requirement. Currently accustomed to leash walks, he can navigate an unfenced yard with the help of a lead or under supervision.
