About Betsy
Betsy is a little basset with a deep “aroo”!
She’s a striking black and tan girl with a splash of white on her waddle area and chest. Betsy is crate trained and housebroken, though like most rescues, she may have an accident or two as she needs a short adjustment period in her new home.
During the day, Betsy enjoys sleeping on the back of the couch, outside her foster mom’s office, or cruising in the backyard. She especially loves winding down in the evenings, curled up with her foster dad in his chair for some well-earned snuggles.
Betsy can be a picky eater—she typically eats only at dinnertime, but recently showed interest in breakfast too. She may startle with sudden movements and cower occasionally, but she recovers quickly with gentle reassurance and patience.
Betsy gets along well with other dogs and came to Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue with her buddies, Oscar and Daisy. She would do best with a securely fenced-in backyard.
