Notes From Eddie's Caregiver:

Little Eddie Spaghetti spent a few weeks at a shelter recovering from a broken leg before his arrival at BBHR just before Christmas. He is doing very well and is making great progress every day in his foster home. 

The shelter listed Edward/Eddie as a doxi/beagle mix. He is tiny! More dachshund than beagle in regard to size, he weighs 17 pounds and wears a size XS harness. Eddie has the most beautiful markings. His left ear is brown and white, and his left eye is blue and brown. His right ear is what the shelter called “merle”, it is brown with dark brown spots. One look at this handsome devil and you are in love!

Handsome Eddie is 2+ years old but still has all of the puppy stuff to work on: Learning not to bite too hard when he plays, not to bark too much, not to chase and bite your cuffs/ankles when you walk; etc. He needs to be able to go outside to pee often, like a puppy. He has been checked out for underlying health issues and none were found. It’s just part of his irresistible charm!

The ideal home for Eddie will have a secure fenced yard and a playmate to share it with. He has a little too much energy for the senior basset in his current foster home, so a playmate that can match his energy would be best. His play biting is no joke! Careful consideration will be given to applicants with young children in the home.
